Florida Salvage Vehicle Dealer Bond
On February 13th, 2019 the FLHSMV issued a memo changing the license requirements for salvage car dealers in Florida. The new change requires a $25,000 surety bond for each of the following license types:
- Salvage Dealer (SD)
- Independent Motor Vehicle Dealer (IV)
If you hold both a Salvage Dealer license and a Independent Motor Vehicle Dealer License you now need two $25,000 bonds. Previously you could use the same bond for both licenses.
