Why do I need an NJ HVAC Bond?
New Jersey modified its existing regulations for NJ HVAC contractors in March 2014 which established a licensing procedure for all current and new Master NJ HVACR contractors. Additionally, an unlicensed HVAC contractor can no longer use the term “Master NJ HVACR Contractor” or “Licensed Master NJ HVACR Contractor” unless they have complied with the new licensing provisions set for by NJSA 45:16A-7. As part of the new licensing requirements, the state now requires a $3,000 NJ HVACR Construction License Bond prior to issuing a license. How much will my NJ HVAC bond cost?
Your surety bond cost will be determine based on your personal credit score and length of time the bond will be in place. Most applicants can expect a surety bond premium of $50 for the entire two year period. Please keep in mind this is the total premium due to the surety company and not a fee charged to process your application. Can I get a bad credit NJ HVAC bond?
